Christmas Wine Exchange
The other night we attended the latest iteration of the Christmas cookie exchange, the Christmas Wine Exchange. Everyone brought a wine to open and share and a second, to blind “exchange”. In addition to the wine (please keep it under $20), it was suggested that you bring along a wine-friendly appetizer. Brilliant!!!
It was billed as the First Annual Christmas Wine Exchange. I hope its the first of many.

I love the idea! Those cookie exchanges are for frustrated Betty Crocker’s - for the rest of us - who don’t have to prove ourselves by sweating over a hot and unforgiving oven - who needs it. Actually, the last time I participated in a cookie exchange I cheated anyway - and bought a package mix. The wine exchange sounds more fun - and it’s perfect for those of us who barely have time to buy a couple of bottles of wine at holiday time!
